The first three official Your Party branches were announced as — Ceredigion Penfro, South Scotland, and the Isle of Wight. Over coming months, the plan is that they will be joined by dozens more branches around the country as the phased rollout gathers pace, until every corner of Britain is covered by a Your Party branch.
Your Party explained, these won’t be branches in the old familiar model, but will be hubs for community organising, supporting campaigns and struggles already happening, be that industrial action, housing campaigns, Palestine solidarity, or fighting the far right, Your Party branches will amplify and support that work.
Branches are to prioritise participation and inclusion over conflict and factionalism; to face outwards and be defined by their campaigning and solidarity—not internal administration.
The party states that “Official Your Party branches will allow every member to play a full and active role in the party, wherever they live“.
In parts of the country YP members have already been meeting and getting active, however this development has been uneven. Official Your Party branches will ensure that every member gets a say on how their branch is run and plenty of ways to get involved.
